more than home cooks

In 2019, Cela Gerke and Aurora Raimondi, long-time friends who had grown up together on the north side of Chicago, would regularly cook dinner for each other. They shared a love for locally sourced and seasonally driven meals and cooking. One day at nearly the same time, they said “we should cook for other people”.

Farmed Table, originally named The Spread, was birthed from a mutual passion for the “more than your average” home cooking experience. Our dinners create a special moment in time that naturally allows our guests to feel an organic yet strong connection with each other when sitting at our table.

We’ve watched guests build relationships over the course of a meal and have made some great friends ourselves from the experience. We invite anyone who attends one of our events to do the same.

community

We believe in the power a shared meal can offer for fostering community and connection. Our shared tables are spaces to uncover similar experiences and values, cultivating new connections throughout the meal.

sustainability

It has been and always will be at the core of all our services to consider the impact we may have on the local and greater agriculture and economic systems. This is why nearly all our ingredients are sourced locally and menus are created based on the seasons.

integrity

Integrity is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less. Our guests', partners', and staffs' experiences and well-being while working with Farmed Table is at the forefront of all our planning.
